In addition to diamonds, non-ferrous metals are also mined (gold, tin, iron ore, etc.). Widely developed coal, gas, woodworking industry, shipbuilding, light and food industries.

Cultural development

Since the climate of this republic is sometimes very severe and most of the year is dominated by winter, the authorities invest the entire development of theaters and museums.

In Yakutia there is a museum of Mammoth, which every visitor is obliged to visit. The natural park "Lena Pillars" located on the banks of the Lena River, many tourists come to see the miraculous nature. The Republic boasts 87 museums, 538 libraries, 13 theater establishments, 7 cinemas.
